Hello, I am Arash!

I am an AI and software developer with a PhD in Computer Science, specializing in Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). My doctoral research was done at the Center for Analysis and Design of Intelligent Agents (CADIA) at Reykjavik University (RU) from Sep 2019 till Oct 2024. Yet, my AI/programming journey had begun years before at the Mechatronics Research Lab (MRL) at Qazvin Azad University (QIAU), where I designed and implemented reinforcement learning and fuzzy logic-based controllers for soccer robots, as detailed in my publications, Paper 1 & paper 2.

My PhD research at CADIA/RU focused on developing analogical reasoning-based theories and mechanisms, and integrating them into AGI architectures through rigorous implementation and testing. In 2024, my work in AGI earned the "The Best AGI Paper Prize" for the paper, "Causal Generalization via Goal-Driven Analogy," presented at the international AGI conference in Seattle, Washington. I am currently working (part-time) as A.I./Software Developer at Icelandic Institute of Intelligent Machines (IIIM).

Beyond my academic and professional work, I dedicate my spare time to personal development projects. Please have a look at some of the development projects here!
